Stylish storage

Storage, storage, storage, and more storage. Declutter, declutter, and declutter. We've all heard it before, the steps to minimalist living. And while I agree with the idea of having nothing in your home that doesn’t serve you, there is still the case of too little closets. If you live in a smaller home, or big one where the architect/builder wasn't generous with closet space, you're familiar with this dilemma. As a home based business, I certainly struggle with this topic. I'm always decluttering and looking for ways to add more storage. Which has kind of led to my discovery of some of the most stylish storage solutions.

1. The Armoire/Wardrobe

The armoire has long been a staple for storage, but has recently made a reappearance in the most stylish way. Check out these from Perigold. We love the oversized handles and the shelving. You could easier organize your purses or shoes on the shelving as an extension from your closet.

2.The Trundle Bed

We've long loved this one for its convenience. While it's not alternative for kids sharing a room, it is a great option for those overnight guests. Over the years, I've discovered the trundle bed is a grandparent's dream. Check out these from West Elm. We love the modern sleek lines and the bright green. It has just even fun and sophistication.

3. The Murphy Bed

The Murphy Bed aka the Wall Bed. Again, another storage saving solution to consider. While it won’t add additional storage, it does allow you to have an alternative for your guest. Design your room around the cabinet styled trundle bed. Its the perfect solution for someone living in a one bedroom apartment or studio apartment. You could place the trundle bed right in the living room with the sofa, and no one would realize. We love this one from Wayfair. Besides creativity always wins.
